Hospital Radio Heatherwood Promotion 1997

The station's promotion and the events it staged were being promoted through the design skills of the station manager Dave Smith and the station engineer PJ Davidson-Smith. A small amount of work was also undertaken by Roger Hawkes.

David was designing the promotional materials for the RHSG and PJ was concentrating on the grand draw, library printing, loan radio promotion, and staff newsletter.

Roger Hawkes was using his skills for the special broadcast days and the valentines dance.

          Heatherwood Hospital's League of Friends has launched its 13th annual grand draw in aid of the patient radio request service Radio Heatherwood.
    The radio service, celebrating its 21st year, needs £3,000 to keep running each year. Without the support of former patients and their families, the hospital cannot afford to provide this popular radio service.
    The draw, which helps keep this vital service going, will take place on September 26 at the Ex-serviceman's Club, High Street, Ascot.
    Prizes this year include a portable colour television,
    a personal CD player,
    tickets to Phantom of the Opera,
    an autographed Phil Collins CD and many more.
    Sponsoring the prizes are the Really Useful group, Phil Collins, 3M, Bracknell Sports centre, Coral Reef, the South Hill Park Arts Centre, Sainsbury's, Readers Digest and McDonalds restaurant.
    Priced at 10 pence each or 50 pence for a book, tickets are on sale now around the wards and at the following venues:
    July 12 - Sunningdale Waitrose
    August 3 and 23 - Ascot High Street
    August 16 Bracknell Band Stand.
