24 Hour Sustaining Service “Rhapsody” Launches.

Music For Patients Round The Clock

Background to 2003 Launch.

The first time we looked at introducing the service was when articles appeared in the national association magazine in 1998 with an article by Radio Hillingdon. It was also the investigations into Low Power AM which made us aware that we would have to supply a sustaining service other than re transmitting radio 2.

By the end of 2002 the funds had been raised and work was well under way to launch the service in June 2003

As 2003 was ushered in, frantic work was taking place at the studio's and also at home for the station engineer as all the tasks needed to complete the project, were at full throttle.

The story unfolds:-
