August 23rd
Radio Heatherwood's Rhapsody news and information service proves it's worth from today as it promotes a local charity group.
The Bracknell foster pet scheme is dedicated to providing pet care for people who will be hospitalized for a few days.
Rhapsody Information service will advise patients how they can use the service.
Rhapsody provides news music and Information 24hrs a day 7 days a week.
June 7th
The Official launch after the midday news, invited listeners to stay listening during their stay and a short introduction from the station engineer described the workings of the Rhapsody service.
The first record played was Simon & Garfunkel's Sound of Silence.
Station Manager Dave Smith thanked the sponsors for their continued support of the radio service.
Station Managers ViewSylvia Dungate Presenter from Tuesday nights was their to help with the presentation and writes her own thoughts on how Rhapsody has changed the way she views her role at Heatherwood.
A Presenters ViewMarch 26th
Radio Heatherwood has completed the installation of it's computerized music service ( Rhapsody ).
Test Transmissions will commence on 5th to 7th April and a full service will commence by June 7th.
This is good news for the patients of Heatherwood but means a lot of work for the volunteers to be ready with the new program schedule.
2003 was a very busy year for the station management and as the year unfolded there was much to do and organise

A Look At Radio Heatherwood's Past:-
The early days from 1976 until 1984 presenters would sign in at the studio each broadcast night.
Personnel records were not kept as to who when or what was working for the hospital radio service.
The only record we have are some faded magazines and photo's of those early heroes.
