A Look At Radio Heatherwood's Past:-
In the early days there was no regulation on the amount of requests taken from the wards.
Every night would do something different, sometimes this would mean anything up to 52 requests in a night. A patient could wait up to three hours; before hearing their request as no time slots of half hour duration were given.
It could be quite normal to arrive back at the studio and find that there were six requests for 8:45.This method continued until 1984.
